Estonian Symphony Orchestras Association was founded in 1999. In 2010,
after few years of pause, the union was restored. The most important events so far have been:
In 2012 9th European Orchestra Festival, with over 700 amateur and youth orchestra musicians from 12 European countries and 26 different orchestras. Participants attended work-shops, about different styles of music, carried out by professional conductors. During the festival were held 8 concerts and a grandiose final concert at Freedom Square in Tallinn.
Concerts and youth orchestra festivals were held in Tallinn, Narva, Valga, Paide and PƤrnu. The association has founded 3 youth orchestras, Tallinn University Symphony Orchestra, Livonia Youth Orchestra and Narva Youth Symphony Orchestra

The union consists of 28 youth symphony and string orchestras. The main objectives of the union are arranging festivals, concerts, work-shops and other events, advocating learning of orchestra instruments, exchanging repertoire and information, participation in international projects, dealing with Song Festival orchestras repertoire and founding new orchestras.
